| Yesterday, April 29th, 2026 marked a truly special moment in the life of our department and our community. We were honored to stand alongside community and county leaders as we broke ground on a new firehouse that will serve as home to both our volunteer and career members for generations to come. Since 1955, our original station has stood as a symbol of service, commitment, and pride. Within those walls, countless calls were answered, lives were changed, and a tradition of dedication was built—one that continues to define who we are today. But as proud as we are of our history, we also recognize the responsibility we have to the future. This new firehouse represents more than bricks and mortar. It represents progress. It represents safety. And it represents our commitment to providing the very best environment for the men and women who give their time—whether volunteer or career—to protect this community. For our volunteers, this station will continue a legacy of service that is given freely, often in the margins of already busy lives. For our career staff, it ensures a safe, modern place to serve every day. And for all of us, it strengthens the partnership that makes this department so special—neighbors standing side by side, answering the same call. Today, we honor the past, we invest in the present, and we build for the future. Estimated move in - January 2028 (as of April 2026) |
