Passing of Jack Gouty

The Cape St. Claire VFC sadly announces the passing of Jack Gouty. Jack has been an integral part of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department and will be missed. He held the position of Chief at the Jessup Volunteer Fire Company for 49 years, President of the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association, 1st Vice President of the Maryland Fire Chiefs Association, and 1st Vice President of the Internation Association of Fire Chiefs (Eastern Division), along with a number of other roles. All of the members at the CSCVFC wish to express our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Spring Fundraising

You'll soon be receiving our Spring fundraising mailing that talks about our next goal: purchasing a thermal imaging camera. Thermal imaging provides us the ability to quickly locate victims in a smoke filled building or find the location of the fire. This has become a valuable asset in the fire service and we'd like to add it to our set of tools. Read the following story about the success of using a thermal imager:
